Hi Kaede! I hope you're doing well! I have been doing a lot of sewing, but my friend took me away on vacation! I could use more manna all the time, though.

Did you go on the train?

I’m glad you’ve made a friend - and yes, I did. I’d like to see as much of this place as I can.

[Kaede you can say you’re running low on manna and would like some synchrony.]

No, I'm not busy. Did you want to go somewhere?

I think it might be nice to, yes... Have you been to the spa or anything yet?

I went to the spa for a little while, but I didn't get to try much. Do you want to go? I've never been to a big fancy spa like that before!

I've never been to a spa before at all, so I think it would be nice to go... I'm not sure what things there even are to try, but I think it would be nice to go with you.

I got a really short massage while I stopped by but if you want to go, I'll go with you! But you said you needed Manna, right? I think they have hot tubs and saunas! Let's go!

What's a massage?

[He was not kidding about never being to a spa before!]

Though, yes, I do need Manna so maybe that would be better... If you don't mind, at least.

I don't mind at all! I'd really like to hang out with you!

I'll send you the address. Wear something comfortable and I'll talk you through the whole thing! Want to meet in half an hour?

[Time to wait! He’s dressed as comfortably as he can be, buy his clothes will probably be recognizable as what he was wearing in their initial video conversation.]

[He sends the address, then changes and heads to the spa himself. When he arrives, he's dressed in loose pants and a stylish t-shirt he decorated with trim at the waist and sleeves.

As soon as he sees Kaede, Chloe breaks out into a smile, and hurries over.]

Sorry... did I keep you waiting? It's just in here. It's just easier to show you than to explain everything.

Ah, no, you didn’t.

[He smiles up at him - small and shy - before turning his attention to the door. He’s admittedly a little nervous, but he’s not sure why.

He hesitates, wondering if he should reach out and take Chloe’s hand, but that’s... Probably too presumptuous.]

Lead the way, then!

[Chloe's grin doesn't falter as he takes Kaede's hand to lead him inside. They've got plenty of manna to work on, after all.

He pulls him over to the service counter, pointing out the different things.]

I was thinking we could go to the hot tub first and just relax for a little while, then after we can get a massage! If you don't mind people touching you, anyway... It's like...

[He moves behind Kaede and, with gentle hands, rubs at his shoulders for a moment.]

It's like this! It works all the tension out!

[Oh. Well, then. Kaede at least doesn't fluster, following along after Chloe. He looks over at the hot tub, curious but nodding in agreement anyways.]

Touching...?

[Well. So much for not flustering. He tenses when Chloe rubs his shoulders, not expecting it in the slightest. After a moment he takes a breath, forcing himself to relax.]

M-maybe not that, then... N-not right now, anyways. Especially not if it's a stranger.

[Chloe pulls his hands back, looking away sheepishly.]

Sorry, I'm really used to people touching me.

[People named MURR.]

I keep forgetting not everybody's okay with it. Um... But... we can just sit in the water! It's warm, and it smells really good!

[Well, now Kaede feels bad. He waves his hands, looking worried.]

I-It's fine, it's not your fault! I-I just, I just...

[He sighs, shoulders sagging. He gives Chloe a crooked grin.]

That... Sounds good. Let's do that, then.

It's... okay if you don't want to do it.

[Chloe's trying to sound reassuring!]

Is it too embarrassing, though?

I’m not... Used to things like this yet.

[He shakes his head, sighing. He was hoping things would be better now, after being here for months, but...

Nope!]

I’m not embarrassed or anything like that.

Well, we can do whatever you're comfortable with!

[He holds out a hand for Kaede to take.]

Just the hot tubs, then! They're so nice, I keep coming back!

You don't really have to worry about things like that...

[He takes Chloe's hand, though. His hand is... Actually kind of cold.]

I'm sure they'll live up to expectations, then.

[Chloe's surprised his hand is so cold, since it's so nice out, and he instinctively takes it between his own to warm it up.]

Um... Are you okay with not wearing clothes? They probably have something you can wear in the tub... Oh, darn it, I should have warned you, I'm sorry!

[He blinks at that, confused for a moment, but... He'll just let it be.]

Ah, that's fine.

[Yes, he's uncomfortable with being touched, but perfectly fine with being naked around someone. Chloe's nudity will be different, but, you know.]

Well... There's a place to keep our clothes, right?

Yeah! There's a little locker area! I'll show you.

[He releases Kaede's hand and leads the way toward the back spa areas.]

You go take your clothes and leave them in here... and get a robe! Then you go take a shower, and get in the hot water after.

That seems like a lot of steps.

[But he’s going to go ahead and strip, placing his clothes in a locker. He has no shame about being naked, even if every time he sees another man without a shirt on he wonders if maybe he should be. (Seeing other men nude is always so much more embarrassing anyways.)

He’s pale and thin, even after being here for months, and someone especially observant might notice the fact he’s eerily still.

Almost like he’s not breathing.

But! Robe time.]

[Chloe's not judging! He's just getting ready to go to the shower, humming faintly happily. Soon enough he's in the robe, with his bangs pinned up on top of his head in a messy little pile.]
